One of the most important aspects of Christianity is the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the experience of speaking in tongues.  Although the Bible considers speaking in tongues elementary (Hebrews 6:1,2), many believers have not experienced this aspect of fellowship. Some have even been convinced that speaking in tongues is the work of the devil.
 Jesus said to His disciples, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.  ...And these signs shall follow them that believe; .. they shall speak with new tongues;" --Mark 16:15,17.

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."  --Acts 2:1-4. 

"Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them.  And when the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.  For unclean spirits, crying with loud voices, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
