ANOINTED WORD MINISTRIES
TREMONT CITY, OHIO, USA

OVERCOMERS, TREMONT CITY, OHIO, USA

Tremont City, Ohio, USA       --       Forrest Henslee, Director

MINISTRY HISTORY

Overcomers was started in 1998 by Forrest Henslee with the purpose of helping people who are struggling with the power of sin in their lives.  Through this program people are taught how to recognize the "Cycle of Sin", which is the pattern of repeating old habits over and over.  Even though the person does not want to do these things, they do them anyway.  Being free from this "Cycle" brings victory and abundant life.

PURPOSE OF MINISTRY

To Break the Cycle of Sin by teaching individuals to renew their minds unto absolute freedom, through the knowledge of the truth found in Jesus Christ.

To help addicted, lost and hurting people to understand why they think the way they do, why they do the things they do and how to identify that Cycle of Sin in their lives.

To instill God’s peace, security, love, forgiveness and inner personal freedom.

“My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me.” Hosea 4:6 “You are truly my disciples if you keep obeying my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

Statement of Faith:
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and is absolute truth (John 8:31, 32).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and indeed is God (John10:30).
Jesus Christ came to Earth in flesh to teach and preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God and to be an example to us that through faith in Him we can all be overcomers in all of life’s circumstances on a daily basis. Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross (John 19:18), died for the sins of the world (Romans 5:8) and on the third day God raised Him from the dead (Acts 10:40).
Jesus then showed Himself to his disciples (Acts 10:41) before ascending up to his Father (Acts 1:9) where He now sits forever making intercession for the saints (Romans 8:34).
The gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out to all who will believe (Acts 10:45, 46).
